A Connecticut woman’s rights under that state’s medical marijuana law were violated when a company refused to hire her on the basis of her legal cannabis use, and a lawsuit seeking damages against her would-be employer may proceed, a federal judge ruled.
Since January 1, BPG has been working closely with Berkeley city officials to effectively lower the recreational cannabis tax rate from 10% to 5%.
Beginning today, March 29, we are extremely proud to offer our members the lowest cannabis tax rates in the East Bay!
Over the next few weeks, we will be making changes to include the 15% excise tax in the price of each product. This will ultimately result in even lower prices for you!

Contact your representative and tell them to support AB 3157. This will lower the excise tax on cannabis from 15% to 11%, and suspend the cultivation tax for the next 3 years.

As we all know, the biggest winner on election night of 2016 was cannabis. More people voted for cannabis than did for either presidential candidate. California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada legalized cannabis, while Arkansas, Florida, Montana and North Dakota expanded access to medical cannabis.
